Description
The YATO YT-82451 transformer soldering iron is a high-quality and powerful DIY+ class device with an ergonomic non-slip handle, designed for connecting metal elements by soldering them with tin-lead soft solder. The tool can operate in three temperature ranges: A: 70-200°C | B: 201-350°C | C: 351-500°C. The temperature range can be changed depending on the work performed: for soldering wires B or C, for soldering basic electronic components on PCBs - B, for cutting lines or soldering plastic - A or B, and so on. The soldering iron has an integrated LED work area illumination. The 200W power is sufficient to heat the tool tip from room temperature to approximately 350°C in just 8 seconds in the most powerful mode. Tip diameter: 3.35mm. The tip is coated with an anti-oxidation material.
Recommendations for tip maintenance: overheating and mechanical damage can quickly destroy the protective layer. If the tip oxidizes, problems may arise when melting solder. The tin no longer melts and sticks to the tip, but rolls and falls off. We recommend placing a small amount of tin, such as shavings, on the end of the tip when heating the soldering iron for the first time, and removing any excess. The tin layer formed in this way will protect the tip from oxidation. We advise tinning the tip every time after finishing work.
Use the soldering iron intermittently according to the S2 20% cycle - heating for a maximum of 12s, followed by a necessary break of no less than 48s.
The product comes with 3 interchangeable tips, rosin, tin solder, and is supplied in a durable YATO case.
