Description
Description
The YATO YT-82461 soldering station is a high-quality and efficient PRO class device designed for joining metal elements. It features a slim, comfortable, and lightweight (65g) handle made of high-quality plastic. The small distance of only 45mm between the handle and the soldering tip makes the tool suitable for precise work. It includes temperature control and calibration functions. The station operates with a T12 type soldering iron, which has an integrated temperature sensor and heating element (operating voltage 24V). The station comes with a T12-ILS soldering tip (diameter 0.15mm) for precise work. Tips can be changed quickly and conveniently. It has a digital LED display with red backlighting. The 75W power is sufficient to heat the tool tip from room temperature to a working temperature of 350°C in approximately 20 seconds, and to 300°C in 7 seconds. The flexible, high-temperature resistant cable length is 1.05 m.
The YATO YT-82461 soldering station has the following functions:
- temperature stabilization function allows maintaining the set tip temperature under various heat demand conditions to ensure proper soldering. Depending on the size of the soldered element and the soldering area, the tip emits varying amounts of heat, and the device, with the help of an integrated tip temperature sensor, continuously reads the actual value of the emitted heat, compares it with the set parameters, and, depending on the need, increases or decreases energy consumption to maintain the set temperature
- temperature calibration function allows recalibrating the built-in temperature sensor. Depending on the quality, size, and wear of the tip, the user can calibrate the sensor using a temperature measuring device. Correct temperature readings improve the temperature stabilization function and help the user avoid overheating the PCB connection
- T12 tip features:
One of the biggest advantages of the integrated soldering tip design is that it eliminates the problem of air resistance between the soldering tip and the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor of T12 type soldering tips is connected in series with the heater and placed as close to the tip as possible, so any temperature change, e.g., when soldering large components, is almost instantly detected by the temperature stabilization function and the device's power is adjusted in real-time to maintain the parameters set by the user.
The series connection of the temperature sensor and heater undoubtedly has many advantages, but it also has the disadvantage of shortening the lifespan of the sensor itself. The YATO YT-82461 soldering station is one of the few on the market that has a special function that limits the negative effects of such a connection - in the final stage of tip heating, the station's program gradually reduces the heater's power until it reaches 100% of the set value. For example, at a set temperature of 350°C, the station will operate at full power up to approximately 85% of the temperature level, and then gradually reduce power for the remaining 15%. This method reduces the negative impact of electrical power surges on the station's and soldering iron's components. Advanced power management also has a positive effect on the precise operation of the temperature stabilization function.
In addition, the temperature sensor of T12 tips is connected in series with the resistive wire/heater, and communication with the control system is maintained through the wires supplying power to the heater. Typically, in this type of design, a special control circuit switches off the heater supply for less than a millisecond, reads the tip temperature, and continuously adjusts the power consumption parameters as needed. This is a cyclical process that is not noticeable during normal operation, and its effect is the stabilization of the tip temperature.
Another advantage valued by many users is the quick change of the soldering tip and even the possibility to change it without waiting for the tip to cool down. To do this, simply grasp the hot tip with heat-resistant material and pull it out of the soldering iron's handle.
