Description
Description
The traditional YATO YT-8272 contact soldering iron is a high-quality and effective DIY+ class device designed for joining metal elements by soldering them with a tin-lead soft solder alloy. This simply constructed tool operates almost flawlessly, and with proper tip maintenance, it will serve you for many years. The high-quality copper-plated tip ensures faster heat accumulation and distribution than standard tips, and the comfortable two-component non-slip handle increases safety of use. A power of 60W is sufficient for the tool's tip to heat up from room temperature to approximately 500°C in 2.5 minutes. The soldering iron is suitable for soldering copper wires or basic electronic components. Tip dimensions: Ø6x78mm. All YATO soldering irons have an earthed electrical plug, which is connected to the metal body of the tool. The tool has a 140cm power cord.
Recommendations for tip maintenance: overheating and mechanical damage can quickly destroy the protective layer. If the tip oxidizes, problems may arise with melting the solder. Solder no longer melts and adheres to the tip, but rolls off and falls. We recommend that the first time you heat the soldering iron, apply a small amount of tin, such as zhavario shavings, to the end of the tip and remove any excess. The tin layer thus formed will protect the tip from oxidation. We advise tinning the tip every time after finishing work.
