The turbine has magnetic sensors embedded in the turbine blades, allowing for contactless revolution counting without causing friction. This translates into a very high counter accuracy of 0.2% and a long lifespan.

The meter can be calibrated; it is factory calibrated to 0, but it is worth checking the settings in your working environment.
