Product description

This engine timing tool kit is designed for checking and setting the timing on Porsche engines from the M96 and M97 series. The kit is used during engine maintenance or repair procedures that require precise alignment of the camshafts and timing chain, such as timing belt/chain replacement or major engine overhauls. It provides the necessary fixtures to lock the camshafts and maintain correct timing position during service.

The kit is suitable for use on various Porsche 911 models produced from 1998 onwards, including the 996 Turbo (2001-2005), as well as the 997 Turbo, GT2 models from 2007 to 2009. It includes camshaft locking plates for both inlet and exhaust camshafts, base plates for cylinder banks 1-3 and 4-6, and timing chain pre-tensioners. Additional camshaft holding wrenches are required for full operation and are referenced separately.
