Product description

This engine timing tool kit is designed for setting and maintaining camshaft timing on Porsche V8 engines equipped with Direct Fuel Injection (DFI), including both turbocharged and naturally aspirated variants. It is used whenever the camshaft timing is disturbed, such as during servicing of the camshafts, cylinder head, timing chain, or variable valve-timing cam phasers. The kit is suitable for use on Porsche Cayenne and Panamera models from 2009 onwards, as well as earlier Cayenne models utilizing the M97/01 V8 engine.

The set includes two fixtures for accurately establishing Top Dead Center (TDC) timing, ensuring correct alignment during engine reassembly. Additionally, a pneumatically operated chain tensioner is included for tensioning the primary timing chain on DFI V8 engines. The chain tensioner requires a regulated air source between 5.0 and 5.5 bar, or as specified by the manufacturer's service manual. This kit is applicable for Cayenne V8 engines up to 2007 and from 2008, as well as Panamera V8 engines.
