Product description

This engine timing tool kit is designed for precise camshaft and VANOS timing procedures on BMW M60 and M62 engines. The set provides all necessary fixtures and tools to lock camshafts at top dead center (TDC), align the crankshaft, tension the primary and secondary timing chains, and adjust the VANOS variable valve timing system. It is used during timing chain replacement, VANOS servicing, or when reassembling the engine after major repairs.

The kit includes application-specific tools for both M60 and M62 engine families. For M60 engines, the set provides dedicated camshaft alignment jigs and a crankshaft TDC pin. For M62 engines, additional tools are included for VANOS timing, such as sensor wheel locking fixtures and a VANOS adjustment socket. The kit also features a special deep, thin-wall socket for removing the VANOS electromagnetic valve on 6- and 8-cylinder engines equipped with VANOS.
