Product description

This engine setting and locking kit is designed for BMW petrol engines equipped with the Valvetronic system, covering engine codes N42, N46 and N46T. It is intended for precise locking and positioning of timing components during engine service procedures on 1.8 and 2.0 litre engines, including work involving camshaft alignment and variable camshaft timing unit service.

The kit is used when installing and removing the camshaft-variable camshaft timing unit, as well as when checking and adjusting engine timing. It is suitable for workshop maintenance and repair operations where accurate timing alignment must be maintained during disassembly and reassembly.

This set is applicable to selected BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, X3 and Z4 models fitted with the specified engine types and Valvetronic system.
