electrical
The 81784 multimeter with a manual range for each measurement allows for basic and advanced electrical measurements. Built-in additional measurement sockets facilitate the measurement of capacitors and transistors, among others. Additional protection against mechanical damage is the so-called holster - a rubber casing stretched over the device's housing.
Basic measurements:
AC voltage measurement: A.C. 0-600 V
DC voltage measurement: D.C. 0-600 V
AC current measurement: A.C. 0-10 A
DC current measurement: D.C. 0-10 A
Resistance measurement: 0-200 M
Diode test: IF 1 mA, UR 2.8 V
Circuit continuity test: 0-30
Additional measurements:
Capacitor capacitance measurement: 0-20 F
Frequency measurement: 0-20 kHz
Temperature measurement: -40 to 400 C
hFe transistor test: 0-1000, built-in measurement socket
Measurement accuracy:
Example of determining the accuracy for AC voltage measurement. Calculations for measurement result: 235 V
measurement accuracy of the 81784 meter for this range is: (1.2% + 5), resolution 1 V
measurement error calculation formula: (measurement result x 1.2%) + 5 x resolution
calculations: (235 x 1.2%) + 5 x 1 = 2.82 + 5 = 7.82 V
Result taking into account the measurement error for the 235 V indication = 235 7.82 V*
result taking into account the measurement error for the DC voltage measurement indication: 12 V = 12 0.08 V
result taking into account the measurement error for the AC current measurement indication: 8 A = 8 0.26 A*
The table with the resolution and accuracy for a given measurement can be found in the user manual.
*The 81784 meter does not have a true rms measurement function, so the above result is the real effective value of the AC voltage only for a correct sinusoidal waveform.
Additional information:
LCD display, maximum displayed result: 1999
sound signal in the continuity test for resistance below 30
automatic switching from the diode test to the continuity test at a circuit resistance below 30 (it is not possible to set the meter only to the diode test)
included measuring probes, probe for temperature measurement
construction with overload protection
housing made of ABS + so-called holster, i.e. a rubber housing protecting the meter from mechanical damage
automatic shutdown of the meter
low battery indicator
power supply: 9 V battery (6F22)
Attention!
When measuring unknown values using a meter with a manual range change using the knob, measurements should be taken sequentially from the largest range to the range that gives the most accurate result - otherwise there is a risk of damaging the device.
