Product description

This tool is designed for the precise installation of the crankshaft position sensor ring, also known as the trigger wheel, on specific Land Rover and Jaguar engines. It is used during engine repair or maintenance when the sensor wheel needs to be installed or replaced, particularly in cases where the original sensor wheel has dropped off or cracked. The tool ensures correct alignment and fitment of the sensor ring to the crankshaft, which is critical for accurate engine timing and sensor operation.

For Land Rover applications, the tool is required to install the crankshaft position sensor ring on Discovery 3 & 4 and Range Rover Sport models equipped with the TDV6 engine (3 Powertrain). In Jaguar vehicles, it is used to install the trigger wheel to the rear of the crankshaft on X200 S Type, X250 XF, X350 XJ, and X351 XJ models with the 300 powertrain. The tool is equivalent to OEM 303-1130 and is specifically requested for repairs involving sensor wheel issues.
