Strap wrench for pipes up to 200mm (8") in diameter.
The YATO strap wrench is designed for unscrewing:
Plastic pipes made of PVC, for example
Chrome pipes
Additionally, it can be used to unscrew oil filters
Using a very strong and durable nylon strap 825mm long and 28mm wide, it is possible to unscrew pipes up to 200mm (8").
In addition, it ensures that the surfaces of the unscrewed pipes are not scratched.
This is especially important for chrome pipes, which are often also a decorative element and preserving their aesthetic appearance is extremely important. On the other hand, in the case of plastic pipes, the strap has an advantage over traditional pipe wrenches, which have metal jaws with teeth, because it does not damage the surface of the pipe. In this case, the traditional wrench with metal jaws with teeth causes them to bite very firmly into the surface of soft plastic, permanently damaging it. A nylon strap is completely safe.
An additional advantage of the YATO strap wrench is the very fast size adjustment depending on the diameter of the pipe.
In addition, the strap wrench makes it possible to work in hard-to-reach places, such as close to a wall or another pipe. Simply wrap the strap around the pipe.
The handle of the wrench is made of light but very durable aluminum alloy with a length of 300mm (12").
It is powder coated, which provides very lasting corrosion protection and is resistant to scratches and abrasions.
