Description

The PRO+ class wheel bearing hub mounting tool kit BGS Technic 6250 is designed for mounting and dismounting GEN2 (second generation) bearings. The kit allows for quick and safe installation of GEN2 bearings directly on the car, without removing chassis components. Specialized tools simplify the removal of deeply embedded bearings, reducing the risk of damaging chassis parts and saving significant labor time.

The tools can be used in a workshop with a press, or directly on the vehicle.

This tool kit is essential when working with GEN2 bearings, as their integrated design means that conventional tools can damage the bearing or surrounding components. The tools are suitable for practically all VAG [Volkswagen Audi Group] vehicles with GEN2 bearings.

- thread the spindle with the mounted bearing and pressing element through the wheel hub from the rear

- slide the new bearing assembly with the mounted half-shells and pressing bell onto the spindle from the front

- install the bearing and hand-tighten the spindle nut to pre-secure the wheel bearing assembly

- check the correct alignment of the tool parts and adjust them if necessary

- turn the spindle nut clockwise using a ratchet wrench, while holding the spindle with a wrench on the other side

- pull the wheel bearing assembly into the wheel bearing housing until the bearing's locking projections engage in the designated recess

- wear gloves and safety glasses during work

- ensure the tool is correctly assembled

- do not overtighten the spindle or apply excessive force, as this may damage the tool or components
