This crankshaft locking tool is designed for use during engine timing and maintenance procedures on select Peugeot and Citroën engines. It is specifically intended to lock the crankshaft in the correct position, ensuring accurate timing during tasks such as timing belt replacement or other engine repairs. The tool is suitable for use on 2.0 16V and 2.2 16V engines manufactured after 1998.

The tool is compatible with engines carrying the codes RFR, RFN (EW10J4), and 3FZ (EW12J4). It is referenced as a spare part marked with number 19 in technical diagrams.
